Tabs example: Stairway to Heaven

Under right circumstances, muSpec can show musical notes in a melodic line. The ideal case is an isolated melodic line with little acompaniment and no distortion. A good example is the guitar intro to Led Zepellin's Stairway to Heaven. The tabs offered online may be more or less accurate. muSpec gives a direct view of the recording. Keep in mind that the spectrogram needs some interpretation: we shouldn't mistake harmonics for base notes. In the case of this guitar sound, the harmonics show up an octave above the base note (crossed out in red below). Some harmonics may overlap with an actual note, which, again, requires interpretation.

Note: the cyan marks and bar lines were drawn on top of the spectrogram for illustration purposes.
